Every year, we found that Spring was the most difficult time to find alternative sports for the children after the main winter sports competitions ended. After exhausting options to find a local Basketball competition for the spring season, we came up with the idea to host our own basketball skills sessions. These sessions are designed to provide a fun yet competitive real-game experience. Thanks to the wonderful support of St. Kevin’s Primary School, we’re excited to offer an affordable and enjoyable sports alternative right in the convenience of your child’s school hall. After a very successful first term, we are excited to return for a summer session in term one 2025!

St. Kevin’s Ballers is run as a not-for-profit. Our coaches volunteer their time, and the hall hire is provided by St. Kevin’s. Any costs associated with insurance and merchandise are passed on to families at cost. Our mission is to provide a fun sporting alternative that is available to everyone.

By far the best looking coach, Matt rides on average 4,000km per week before breakfast. His experience in Basketball is one of pure admiration, as you can at least run with the ball (not like in netball). Matt is glad this isn’t netball. If you want to play netball, Matt is definitely not putting his hand up. This is where Matt draws the line. Matt’s favourite basketball players are Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny!
