What to bring?
• Custom Reversible Jersey (included)
• Girls please wear sports top or crop top (Reversible singlets for team allocations)
• Suitable basketball/sports shorts
• Suitable non-slip basketball/sports shoes + socks
• Size 5 basketball (recommended)
• Water Bottle
• Mouthguard (optional)
• Jumper/hoodie
• Small towel (optional)
• Snacks (no canteen)
*Please label all of your items including basketball and singlet
Who can play?
St. Kevin’s Students who are currently enrolled in year 4, 5 or 6. Boys and girls of any skill level.
When does registration open?
Registrations are now open – for the Term 2 2025 sessions on THURSDAYS.
Where and what time?
Sessions will be held on THURSDAY evenings from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the St. Kevin’s Primary School Hall.
Who runs it?
St. Kevin’s Ballers is run by volunteer parents from the School. Please see our About us page for more details.
How much does it cost?
Registration is $150 per term per child. This price covers the cost of insurances, hall hire and a custom reversible jersey that your child can keep! Returning Students can renew registration for $125 (no jersey). We aim to operate as not-for-profit, offering registration at cost price. Our coaches donate their time. Any surplus funds will used for a breakup party and presentation.
What can my child expect?
• We are planning to run a 10 week session.
• Players will use a full 10ft rim and a size 5 basketball
• Mixed boys and girls of all skills and ages (years 4-6)
• Weeks 1-4 we will be focussing on skill development and understanding of the rules along with some pickup games. Depending on numbers we may split the group into two separate sessions based on age/skill
• Weeks 5-10 we will orgainse the players into set teams and run a 6 week real-game competition
